Grace Point Church of the Nazarene in Zagreb, Croatia, hosted an Easter community event on 12 April 2025 at the Ukrainian refugee camp where the church ministers.

The celebration was for children and families, and it was filled with crafts, games, a Bible lesson, and an Easter egg hunt.

“It was a beautiful event bringing together members of our local church, our Ukrainian neighbors, and also our global church,” said Jeremy Height, Grace Point’s pastor.

This special day was made even more meaningful through a partnership with Pastor Serhii and his wife, Anastasiia, a Ukrainian pastoral couple.

“It was a unique blessing to have Pastor Serhii and Ana join us as we hosted the event in Ukrainian, Croatian, and English languages,” Height said. “Each of the children was able to hear the Easter story in his or her own heart language!”

The Easter event is just one chapter in the journey Grace Point has been walking with Ukrainian neighbors who have fled the ongoing war in their homeland. Over the past several years, the church community has deepened its friendship and support through language classes, cultural field trips, and weekly children’s programs.
