Virginia church gives back in weeklong project
Harrisonburg, Virginia
(WHSV, 29 July) Harrisonburg First Church of the Nazarene is creating what they call the "Best Week Ever" in Harrisonburg, as they start and finish 12 different projects to benefit the community this week.
The church said more than 200 volunteers will work on the projects that will tackle real needs in the community.
During Sunday services, volunteers filled more than 1,000 bags of snacks that the church plans to give out during the week as random acts of kindness for first responders and community members.

West Virginia church celebrates 100 years
Park View, West Virginia
(Mountain Statesman, 6 August) One local church has stood the test of time and will be celebrating their 100-year anniversary in the community this week.
According to church members, the idea for church came after a group of Nazarenes from Mannington, West Virginia, came to work in the potter at Park View.
While there, the group saw a need for revival of holiness preaching and began to make plans to accomplish just that.
