The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received from 21-25 April 2025.

Norma Atkinson, 89, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away 17 February 2025. She was the widow of Robert Atkinson, a retired minister who served in Missouri, Ohio, West Virginia, Massachusetts, and Iowa. Robert passed away in 2022.

Gerald Cole, 91, of Spokane Valley, Washington, passed away 28 March 2025. Gerald was a retired minister who served in Saskatchewan, Canada, Washington, and Oregon. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Cole, who passed away in 1997. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Shirley Cole, who passed away in 2020.

Terry Jones, 80, of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed away 16 April 2025. He was a retired minister who served in Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Laquita Jones.

Deborah Persell, 71, of Milton, Florida, passed away 17 April 2025. She was the wife of David Persell, a minister who served in Maryland, Iowa, Tennessee, Michigan, and Arkansas.

Betty Rogers, 78, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, passed away 24 April 2025. She was the wife of Roy Rogers, a retired district superintendent who led the Mississippi District (Merged to Mid-South district in 2015) from 1995-2000, and the Georgia District from 2000-2018. Roy served as a minister in Michigan, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.

Evelyn Schwob, 87, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away 19 April 2025. She was the widow of Wayne Schwob, a retired minister and evangelist who served in Indiana, Wisconsin, Idaho, Alaska, and Illinois. Wayne passed away in 2005.
