Eugene Stowe

Dr. Eugene L. Stowe served as a general superintendent in the Church of the Nazarene from June 1968 until July 1993. Prior to his election as general superintendent, he was president of Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri, for two years.
Dr. Stowe was superintendent of the Central California District Church of the Nazarene from 1963 to 1966. For over ten years previous to that, he pastored College Church of the Nazarene in Nampa, Idaho. During this time, he taught in the department of religion at Northwest Nazarene University. Before his ministry in Nampa, he had pastored churches in California and Oregon.
Eugene Stowe is a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU). He did graduate work at PLNU and Berkley Baptist Divinity School and holds a Doctorate of Divinity degree from his alma mater.
He and his wife, Faye, have a son and a daughter.
