Ambrose University announced the appointment of Pam Nordstrom as vice president of Academic Affairs and Christopher Primeau as vice president of Advancement.

Nordstrom is currently interim dean of the Faculty of Health, Community, and Education at Calgary’s Mount Royal University. Previously, she served as director of the School of Nursing at MRU. Nordstrom has written about nursing for many scholarly publications and holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in educational administration from the University of Nebraska.

“Dr. Pam Nordstrom has been an excellent colleague to everyone she’s worked with over the past 22 years,” said Jeffrey I. Goldberg, interim provost and academic vice president at Mount Royal University. “The calm, thoughtfulness, and vision she brought to every discussion was a formula for successful leadership. Her countless contributions to the Faculty of Health, Community, and Education are to be celebrated. On behalf of Mount Royal, I’d like to extend our best wishes to Pam as she takes the next step in her academic career.”

Nordstrom will join the Ambrose faculty in the summer of 2017.

Primeau is an alumnus of the Ambrose Behavioural Science program.

“I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher Primeau as vice president of Advancement,” said Gordon Smith, Ambrose president. “His experience to date is wide-ranging and varied, encompassing student ministries, multi-year missions projects in Egypt and China, and, most recently, serving as director of development at the Calgary Dream Centre.”

In his role directing Advancement, he will give oversight to several departments, including enrollment, communications, and development, which includes alumni and church relations.
