Philadelphia District elects new superintendent

General Superintendent David A. Busic announced the election of Kerry W. Willis as superintendent of the Philadelphia District.

Elected 23 April on the first ballot, Willis replaces Newell Smith, who is retiring after serving 18 years in the position. Willis will begin his new assignment 28 May. 

Willis is currently the lead pastor at Harrison First Church of the Nazarene in Virginia, a position he has held since 1994. Prior to this, Willis has served as an evangelist in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene's General Board from 2009 to 2013.

Kerry and his wife, Kim, currently reside in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
