The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 23-27 September 2019.

Beulah Brooks, 83, of Bourbonnais, Illinois, passed away 18 September 2019. She was the widow of retired song evangelist Richard Brooks, who passed away in 1989.

Raymond Burton, 87, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away 19 September 2019. He was a retired minister serving in Michigan and Colorado. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Burton.

Thelma Gage, 89, of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, passed away 22 September 2019. She was the widow of retired minister Rupert Gage, who served in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. Rupert passed away in 2004.

Helen Knirs, 78, of Boonville, Indiana, passed away 20 September 2019. She was the second wife of retired minister Dennis King, who served in Indiana. 

Helen Metcalfe, 86, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away 21 September 2019. She was the wife of retired minister Russell Metcalfe Jr., who served in Ohio, New York, and Massachusetts. 

Alvin Orchard, 77, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away 25 September 2019. He was a retired minister and missionary, serving in Oregon, Illinois, North Dakota, Missouri, Colorado, the Philippines, Samoa, and Saipan. He is survived by his wife, Bette Orchard.

Adeline Owens, 89, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away 26 September 2019. She was the wife of retired general superintendent, missionary, minister, and educator Donald Owens, who served in Nebraska, Oklahoma, the Philippines, and South Korea.

Glenn Propst, 86, of Indiana, Pennslyvania, passed away 24 September 2019. He was a retired minister, serving in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Wisconsin. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Propst

Deborah Richardson, 50, of Hobart, Indiana, passed away 20 September 2019. She was the wife of Roy Richardson, who pastors Hobart First Church of the Nazarene.

Violet Smith, 90, of Irving, Texas, passed away 12 September 2019. She was a former employee of Nazarene Publishing House. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Smith, who passed away in 2014.

David Wermuth, 85, of Vassar, Michigan, passed away 19 September 2019. He was a retired minister, serving in Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Wermuth.
