Antigua church shares annual Good Friday breakfast with elderly

by | 01 May 2019

The Living Water Church of the Nazarene in Antigua continued a 15-year Good Friday tradition where they served breakfast at the Finnes Institute, a government-run home for the elderly.

A team of 51 people from the church offered breakfast to nearly 70 residents and 20 staff members. The team sang songs and shared fellowship with the residents. Church members also had a chance to pray with several people.

Living Water Church Pastor Christopher Weekes said he believes God will use local outreach events like this to call more people to full-time missions.

“It was a personal joy to observe and see believers of all ages demonstrating God’s love in a real and practical way,” Weekes said. “We believe compassion is a lifestyle. So, our Good Friday services are geared towards going, giving, and being, allowing every believer the opportunity to be like Christ — sharing and showing His love to people of the communities around them.”
