The Central Gulf Coast District elected Ryan M. Brown as its new superintendent 11 May 2023. Brown currently serves as pastor of Sandusky Church of the Nazarene in Ohio.

"I am so very humbled at this opportunity to serve the Central Gulf Coast District as district superintendent,” Brown said. “I look forward to the good days ahead on the CGC, not because of who they elected, but due to the fact that God is so very faithful."
Brown will replace Mark Berry effective 11 June 2023. Berry has served as superintendent of the Central Gulf Coast District since 2007.

Brown has served as a minister since 2008 in Tennessee, Florida, and Ohio. He earned a business degree at Austin Peay University. He became an ordained minister in 2011. He has served on District Credentials Boards, District Advisory Boards, and as a Mission Area Coordinator.

Ryan and his wife Jamie currently reside in Castalia, Ohio, and have two children, Ryanne and Jamison.

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
