For six years, Pierre Ernst Jacques’ ordination was put on hold due to civil unrest in his home country of Haiti. However, through an unusual set of circumstances — some tragic — Jacques found himself in the United States for a special remote ordination during this year’s Eastern Kentucky District

Teryl “Terry” Ketchum, 72, of Lacey, Washington, passed away 19 July 2024. He was a retired missionary who served in France, Martinique, and Haiti. He served as a minister in Idaho, Washington, and Kansas.

About 75 people from nine countries on the Mesoamerica Region joined together to carry out a Maximum Mission project in the Dominican Republic. Roughly 300 children were ministered to, and 50 people accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Allen Wilson, 94, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away 1 August 2024. He was a missionary who served for 37 years across the Mesoamerica and South America regions in Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, and as the district superintendent of Costa Rica.

A training called Designed to Communicate brought together roughly 115 young people to learn how to share the gospel creatively through the media.

During this past Holy Week, Etla Church of the Nazarene in Mexico experienced an intentional time of seeking the Lord through different activities. Many community members gathered in increasing numbers, culminating in an Easter Sunday celebration where 400 people attended.
