General Superintendent Eugénio Duarte traveled to the city of Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), on 17 March 2023, accompanied by Regional Director Dany Gomis, to ordain 23 pastors representing six different districts.

Twenty-two pastors were ordained as elders, and one pastor was ordained as a deacon. Mymy la Grace Onokoko Bokakandani was one of the pastors ordained. She is the wife of Antoine On’okoko, superintendent of Congo Brazzaville District, who was also in attendance at the service.

Daniel Ncuna from Equatorial Guinea, Desire Bugeshi from DRC Goma District, Mario Martinez from South Kivu (who is acting as interim district superintendent after the passing of late District Superintendent Deo Munyololo), and Pigeon Rwananiye from Virunga District were also in attendance and brought ordinands from their respective districts.

Duarte preached a sermon with the theme “Biblical examples of Success” from 1 Timothy 4:6-16. The sermon focused on Paul’s example of success from Acts 20:1–38.

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
